At Segel Psychological Services, we provide comprehensive autism evaluations across the lifespan, using gold-standard assessment tools to deliver clear diagnoses and actionable recommendations for individuals, families, schools, and treatment providers. Our evaluations are designed to support diagnostic clarity and eligibility determinations for educational accommodations, behavioral services (including ABA), and medical or community-based supports.

What Makes Our Autism Evaluations Different

• Gold-Standard Autism Assessment Tools: Evaluations include administration of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2), a widely accepted, evidence-based observational assessment for autism spectrum disorder.
• Comprehensive & Individualized: We integrate standardized testing, behavioral observation, developmental history, collateral information, and clinical judgment to provide a nuanced understanding of a person’s social communication, behavior, and functioning.
• Across the Lifespan: Evaluations are available for children, adolescents, and adults, including individuals who may have masked symptoms or gone undiagnosed for years.
• Differential Diagnosis Clarity: We carefully evaluate overlapping or co-occurring conditions using DSM-5-TR criteria, such as ADHD, anxiety disorders, trauma-related symptoms, learning differences, and mood concerns.
