VA Community Care Network (CCN) Mental Health Services for Veterans

Specialized Psychological Services for Veterans

At Segel Psychological Center, our clinicians are proud to serve as providers within the VA Community Care Network (VA CCN). We provide individualized, evidence-based psychological services for veterans experiencing PTSD, anxiety, trauma-related concerns, depression, adjustment difficulties, and traumatic brain injury (TBI)-related symptoms.

Our practice is committed to offering compassionate, professional, and culturally sensitive care to veterans throughout South Florida, including Broward County, Palm Beach County, Boca Raton, Coconut Creek, Fort Lauderdale, and surrounding communities.

We understand that military experiences can have lasting emotional, cognitive, and interpersonal effects. Our clinicians work collaboratively with veterans to create personalized treatment plans focused on restoring emotional well-being, improving daily functioning, and supporting long-term recovery.

Conditions We Commonly Treat

Our clinicians work with veterans experiencing a wide range of mental health and neuropsychological concerns, including:

  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Combat-related trauma

We recognize that every veteran’s experience is unique. Treatment is individualized and tailored to the specific needs, strengths, and goals of each patient.

Evidence-Based Therapies for Veterans

Our clinicians utilize evidence-based treatment approaches commonly used in the treatment of trauma and anxiety-related disorders, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
  • Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Client-Centered Therapy
  • Psychodynamic Therapy
  • Interpersonal Therapy (IPT)

These approaches are selected thoughtfully based on the veteran’s clinical presentation, preferences, and treatment goals.

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Neuropsychological Services

Some veterans experience cognitive, emotional, or behavioral changes following concussions or traumatic brain injuries sustained during military service. Our practice also offers comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological evaluation services designed to assess:

  • Attention and concentration
  • Memory functioning
  • Executive functioning
  • Emotional and behavioral symptoms
  • Processing speed
  • Cognitive changes associated with TBI

These evaluations may help clarify diagnostic concerns and assist in treatment planning and recommendations.

VA CCN Referrals and Community Care

Veterans who are eligible for VA Community Care may be referred to our office through the VA Community Care Network (CCN). Our administrative team works to help make the intake and scheduling process as smooth and efficient as possible. We strive to provide an environment where veterans feel respected, heard, and supported throughout the treatment process.
