Dr. Goldberg earned her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. She also received a Masters degree in ‘clinical mental health counseling’ from Florida Atlantic University and a Masters degree in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, where she worked within a multidisciplinary medical team, focusing on the assessment and psychological care of inpatient and outpatient individuals struggling with medical problems. Within this health psychology setting, she has worked extensively with a wide range of medical diagnoses, including neurological, orthopedic, oncological, and trauma.
Dr. Goldberg works with a wide range of psychological disorders, including anxiety, depression, chronic pain, medical-related issues, substance use disorders, stress management, adjustment disorder, and self-esteem/relationship issues. Dr. Goldberg utilizes an integrative theoretical approach, as she believes interventions should be specific to each patient’s individual needs. She implements evidenced based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed interventions, and Motivational Interviewing.
Dr. Goldberg’s clinical interests include psychological assessment, reproductive/maternal mental health, birth trauma, postpartum anxiety/depression, health psychology, individual/couples therapies, and women’s issues.
